The TJ Rams!

The TJ Rams!

Andy Ryden, Sports Writer

The basketball season has officially almost ended. After a good season by both teams last year, in which both teams went to the playoffs, and the Girls won it all, TJ Middle School is ready to win it all again! The boys are 1-11 with Jake Jacko leading the team in points. The girls are 12-0 with Juliet Johnson leading the team in points. School volleyball is also about to start, with a rough start date of sometime soon. The volleyball team has a history of excellence, winning seven championships in a row. Go Rams!

UPDATE:

The Rams’ basketball season is over! The boys, who gave all they had, got eliminated in the first round in the county tournament by Morris Plains Beavers, leaving them with a 4-18 record. The girls, who had lost one game all season were on fire this season. They beat  in the first round of the county tournament and played Riverdale in the second round. They girls then played Assumption. At the end of the Assumption game, the girls basketball team walked away victoriously as the back to back county champs. They ended the season on a 22-1 record. New to TJ this year is the girls soccer skills camp. The camp is open to all girls in 5th-8th grade and is a very good opportunity for any girl who wants to get better at their soccer skills.
